CRAZY!!

It's been a crazy few months! My sisters and I started a blog, and that was crazy for a few months. Then one of my sisters got super busy and couldn't do the blog anymore. :( (Her kids are gifted in the sports area). So me and my little sister decided that since we wanted to still do a blog.
The ez-peazy gals didn't seem to fit anymore,  so we had to come up with another name and a new blog. We are now The Mac Momma's! Our maiden name is "MAC"farlane, and our friends used to call us both Mac Momma....so the name was born! :) We have been working really hard to get things going, but things are kind of slow with my sister putting her house up for sale (It's a cute 6 bedroom in Kaysville if anyone is interested) and trying to take care and potty train 2.5 year old.

Ok, enough with the plug for the blog. I can't remember everything that has been happening lately, but I will say that Lexus is doing MUCH better with school. Seventh grade was living HELL! Pardon the swearing, but it really was. Eighth grade has seem to agree with her better. She has found  a really good friend that keeps her straight and leaves the ones that she seems to get into trouble with, alone.

Dennis has started taking pictures and would like to get a photography business started. He is still in the practicing stages, but he seems to do a good job at it and loves it! He is still traveling quite a bit, but he has the weekends to shoot all the photos he wants to. He has a website if you want to see his pictures www.harrycleigh.com

Ben is finishing up his last few months as a FIRST grader.  He also turned 7 in January. Only one more year until the BIG #8. He is excited to get baptized. The time is just flying by!! His teacher tells me that he is one of the better story writers in class. That made me happy. He has such a good imagination! His reading has also taken off like crazy! We now have to be careful about the words we spell out. :S

Sam is in his last year of preschool and will turn 5 later this month. I can't believe that I will have all of my kids in school by fall time!! Maybe then I can go to the gym?!? Who am I kidding...I probably won't. Sam is a homebody. He love to just be home. I have to force him to go play with other kids at their houses, but, most time we have a house full of kids because both my boys love to have their friends here. 

Me, I am just excited to get my new washer and dryer here on Saturday! WAHOO!!! It is the first new washer and dryer that Den and I have ever owned. I am so excited! Did I mention that I am EXCITED?!?!

SHE'S A TEENAGER!!

Well, it's official! We have a TEENAGER in our house! This year for Lexus' birthday, she was at Girls Camp. Me and the boys decided to surprise her and take cookies to her at camp. So, the boys and I (also grandma Jan came along to) loaded into the minivan and headed to camp! I have been to this camp many times, but this year the road that I was used to taking got washed out by all of the rain and snow that we had, so we had to take another way in...and got lost! Well, all I can say is thank you to the wonderful rangers that are in our mountains and know what they are doing! So, we had a little set back, but all was well and we found our way to camp! Lexus was so surprise to see us!

 

  As we walked up the hill to her campsite, all of the young women and leaders sang "Happy Birthday" to her and then they all ate the yummy cookies I had slaved made for her.

We got to see her cabin and took the boys for a walk to the lodge and to see some wildflowers! They were totally awesome this time of year!

I am so glad that we were able to go see her and give her a great surprise for her birthday away from home!
